Jersey movie is the story of a struggling cricketer and his son who wants a jersey. A light and heartwarming family entertainer.

A wide range of issues are addressed in Jersey movie because sports topic is usually political. Arjun Talwar (Shahid Kapoor) is a Chandigarh citizen who is a cricket player. He left cricket when he was at his best because he did not get selected in National team. He is now 36-year-old with a son and a wife. His government job is now in trouble. Financial burdens increase and he is not even able to buy a jersey for his son. The movie portrays various relationship such as father and son, husband and wife, and coach and athlete.

Arjun decides to step again into cricket for his son's sake. The relationship between father and son is portrayed beautifully. Performances of all the characters in the movie are admirable. There is some dramatization in the movie but no major discussion or violence. A beautiful story of a struggling cricket player, Jersey movie is worth a watch.
